University of Tasmania 125th Anniversary Forum Series
Tasmania
Co-presented by Junction Arts Festival and the University of Tasmania
How culture and the arts contribute to a vibrant Northern Tasmania
Experiencing the City
Junction Arts Festival is pleased to co-present this forum as part of the University of Tasmanias 125 anniversary. The 125th Anniversary Northern Forum Series explores ideas of significance to Northern Tasmania, and in particular, Launceston.
With a consideration of ephemeral performance, community-engaged live arts practice, and site-specific works that respond directly to place, the forum explores connectivity, pedestrianisation and the changing ways that people think, move, connect and experience the city through performance and art.
Moderator:
Professor Stephen Loo, Director Creative Exchange Institute, University of Tasmania, and Board Member, Junction Arts Festival
Panelists:
Dr Matt Delbridge, Head of Theatre, Tasmanian College of the Arts, University of Tasmania
Ms Ilana Mitchell, artist and Director Wunderbar Festival, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK
Mr Rye Dunsmuir, artist and General Manager, Design Tasmania
