The Walking Project

Thomas Quirk with Izzy Roberts-Orr Melbourne

Commissioned by Junction Arts Festival

Embark on a self-guided audio tour and experience Launceston in someone else’s shoes.

The Walking Project returns to Launceston for the second year, weaving a tapestry of new stories across the city.

Where have we come from? Where are we going? And what stories have been written into the ground underneath our feet?

Paved beneath the footpath, buried under bitumen and trodden into the dirt are untold stories. Don your walking shoes and let an invisible stranger be your guide as you experience these stories first hand.

Against an urban backdrop, experience something uniquely personal and intimate. The Walking Project re-connects people, stories and site through the act of walking.

Four walks are available. Patrons will choose their walk at random on arrival at 62a Brisbane St.
