Backyard Bands at The Hatherley Birrell Collection
Héloise Melbourne/LauncestonProduced by Junction Arts Festival
Following sold out shows in 2014, join us again on a rare adventure into the backyards of two of Launceston’s spectacular historic buildings for an intimate live music concert. Two unique experiences of contrasting views, architecture, history and music.
Hatherley Birrell Collection is a National Listed 1830’s grand mansion with an expansive English-style parkland garden with snowy mountain vistas.
High on the hills of West Launceston sits the early 20th century art deco hydro-electrical sub-station with dramatic views over Launceston.
Héloise will take you on a quirky journey through time and space, where you’ll encounter creatures of the forest, weird and wonderful circus folk, mystical weather, bygone eras, cats, rabbits, murderers, mothers, children and occasionally a donkey. Travel through the twisted, tortured passages of the cerebrum as the eclectic folk music takes you to the places you've always dreamt about but could never quite reach....
Héloise, live at Backyard Bands 2015.
Shot and edited by James Burke. Produced by Rob Burnett.
