COVID-19 Safety Information
Everything you need to know about keeping COVID safe at Junction Hometown.
We want everyone to enjoy themselves at the event, but our top priority is keeping our community safe.
This year's festival will look and feel very different due to the impacts of COVID-19, and we ask that you stay informed by reading the information below prior to attending the event.
Register before you enter + tell us if you are unwell
When you arrive at the festival, our volunteers will ask you to register your name and phone number for contact tracing purposes. In line with government recommendations, we will be asking all persons entering the park whether they have travelled overseas recently, been in contact with any confirmed cases of COVID-19, or have any flu-like symptoms.
We also recommend all patrons download the Federal Government’s official COVIDSafe app.
Maintain a social distance from others
Once inside the festival, our ushers will allocate you and your family or social group to a picnic rug which will be placed a safe distance from other patrons.
We ask that you stay 1.5 metres from others at all times, including when you are lining up to enter the park or purchase food and drink.
Practice good hand hygiene + tap to pay
Sanitising stations will be situated throughout the park. We ask that all patrons practice good hand hygiene by regularly washing their hands or using the available hand sanitiser.
When purchasing food and drink, we recommend using contactless card payments.
Take a seat!
There will be plenty of seating available at Hometown and we ask that you please remain seated unless you are purchasing food and drink.
Stay home if you are feeling unwell
The most important thing you can do to keep yourself and others safe is to stay home if you are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 including a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath.
Anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to leave the event and we reserve the right to refuse entry on this basis.
